Since moving to Switzerland in 2019, I've been exploring its mountainous ridges, boreal forests and snowcapped spines that run across this picturesque country.
For a small country, nestled in the heart of Europe, Switzerland is a hiker's playground. Much of the surface area is twisted into the towering Swiss Alps - an environment that is ever-changing with the seasons.
This is the first time I have witnessed the full height of summer while bathing in the mountain lakes. I explore the forests and watched the leaves and landscape turn to a fiery red as autumn falls. Winter settles us in a white world wrapped in silence. And spring welcomes small blossoms and longer days. every season has its time - and they flourish here.
Exploring Switzerland on foot has been part of my process of making Switzerland home. Walking along all the town and farm roads give me a strong sense of familiarity with a place.

I've been dreaming of wild camping all summer. Finally, I brushed off my tent, tested my gear and set off to Valais to find my camping spot to enjoy the views of the striking Furka Pass, Switzerland.

I had my first snowshoeing experience during the Christmas break on Klausenpass, Switzerland. We gathered all our siblings, and we trekked in the snow from Urnerboden to Klausenpass. We enjoyed a cup of coffee at 1,948 m above sea level before descending back down into the snowy valley.

The fourth stage of the Via Alpina hike is a long stretch from Altdorf to Engelberg. My path takes me across Surenenpass from canton Uri to canton Obwalden.
The third stage of the Via Alpina hike is a long leg from Elm to Linthal. My path takes me across Richetlipass and through Glarus's geologically rich area for scenic views.
