Sibling Hike in Grindelwald

We caught the first snowfall in Grindelwald of the season. My brother came down to visit from the Netherlands, and we grabbed the opportunity to explore the region that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien's imaginary landscapes in The Lord of the Rings. Being huge fans, I simply had to hike there and experience it for myself.

Grindelwald is a village nestled on the slopes of towering mountains, crowned by the Upper Grindelwald Glacier. Although the clouds obscured most of our view, we were able to glimpse the mammoth river of ice between the mountain folds.
