Hiking to Aescher Restaurant in Appenzell

An unexpected hike in Appenzell took us to the Aescher cliffside restaurant in one of the oldest cantons in Switzerland.

This scenic hike explores one of my favourite parts of Switzerland with wild meadows, clanging cowbells and mountainside huts. Starting from Wasserauen, the trail leads to Seealpsee before climbing up to Ebenalp. Great for exploring in the summertime!
